Well, my first week as a college student started and ended in the blink of an eye. It’s crazy how fast time flies and before I even know it I will be finishing up the college life. Yes, all the work I’ve been receiving lately is nothing compared to what I was given back in high school. Lately I’ve been managing my time more and making sure that I don’t leave any work for last minute because it is quite of an overload now in college. Most of the work I get from my classes are more reading and writing based and if I’m being honest that’s not really what I like. Although I don’t like it, I still get it done and that will continue because the way I see it, there’s always room for improvement in certain areas of academics. I guess you can say these courses are worth it. However, this new experience of college through zoom calls is not the same and it will take some time to getting used it, but in the end the knowledge that we as students receive, is the same no matter what form of learning we’re doing. One course that I am taking this semester is called Psychopathology and Literature, and so far it has interests me, yet I don’t like reading. The reason for this being is because the work that is given isn’t just simply reading made up stories or articles about different topics, but instead looking for articles that connect to world because of the mental illness and disorders there is. The fact that I am able to make connections to the real world Is what interests me along with sharing ideas with my fellow classmates about other different types of stories about disorders. More and more reading will be done this semester, but that’s just a form of saying “welcome to college” everyone. I’m looking forward to stepping foot on campus and getting to know all my classmates and professors. Until that day comes zoom will do and there’s nothing else to do but for me to keep pushing forward and get the grades I deserve.
